DigiPro – Limitless digital innovations
Small and medium-sized businesses need to be prepared for the currently happening digital transformation that is in the centre of attention under the catchword “Industry 4.0”. That is the aim of “DigiPro: Limitless digital transformation” – Realisation of Industry 4.0 for small and medium-sized businesses in Germany and the Netherlands.
The project is part of the EU-development program “INTERREG V A Deutschland-Nederland” and supports SMEs in the Euregio Rhine-Waal and Rhine-Meuse Nord on their way towards digitalisation. To find out more about the potential of the new technologies, workshops and coaching are carried out for the companies. The GEMIT institute (Business Process Management and IT) of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences offers free orientation talks and in-depth discussions. Further, it works out concepts and feasibility studies and realises development projects.
Businesses benefit from this because they receive financial support from the project which allows them to implement digital business models faster. An important goal of this project is to promote the collaboration between Dutch and German companies, for instance through the development and realisation of joint cross-border projects.
GEMIT cooperates with various German and Dutch partners in the framework of DigiPro. Associated partners in this project are the economic development agencies for the districts of Mönchengladbach, Neuss and Viersen, as well as the professional associations of the locking and fitting industry and plant engineering energy.environment.process industry. The project leadpartner is Oost NV – Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij Oost Nederland (development corporation East Netherlands).
