To help you get started, there are various programmes that provide you with financial support.

  • 12x (monthly) €1,000 per startup for innovative business ideas. The subsidy can support up to three startups per business idea
  • Does not have to be repaid
  • Coaching by experts, managers and consultants from the network

  • Up to 90% reimbursement of costs for external consultants for startups
  • For drafting and assessing a business concept and assistance in implementing it

  • You can receive financial support to help start a business while unemployed. You will first receive your regular German unemployment benefit (Arbeitslosengeld) for six months + €300 extra.
  • To be eligible, you must have been claiming this benefit for at least 150 days from the time you started your business
  • The loan does not have to be repaid
  • Discuss your business idea with your contact person at the German Arbeitsagentur (employment agency) on time
  • Our experts will assess your business plan and give you advice on starting your business
  • “Meisters” (the German term for professionals in certain industries who have undergone special additional training) who want to start their own business can receive a one-off grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia that does not have to be repaid. The grant covers 70% of the eligible costs, up to a maximum of €10,500.
