Digitalisation, technical progress and social change will change Germany in the coming years. The fourth industrial revolution has begun. Smart industry, people, machines and products are directly connected. Companies and staff must adapt to the changing work environment with big data and automated processes.
The digital transformation is advancing and gaining a foothold with modern, connected and smart technology. Products and services are being redesigned—from design and construction to manufacturing, sales and support. In Kreis Viersen, we are actively shaping this process and are pioneers in this field: blockchain, cloud services, artificial intelligence and cyber defence are the topics of the future. We will all have to deal with it. The themes of sustainability, climate change and the changing working environment are also affected.
Innovations- und Zukunftsbüro der Hochschule Niederrhein
Mit dem Innovations- und Zukunftsbüro unterhält die Hochschule Niederrhein einen Außenstandort in den Räumlichkeiten des Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Kreis Viersen mbH.
Gemeinsam mit der Hochschule Niederrhein steht die praxisnahe Kooperation im Vordergrund. Das Innovations- und Zukunftsbüro fördert in enger Abstimmung mit der WFG den Technologie- und Wissenstransfer zwischen der Hochschule sowie der Bevölkerung und regionalen Unternehmen. Es steht im ständigen Dialog mit Unternehmerschaft und Verbänden, dadurch werden Projekte mit kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen unterstützt und initiiert. Wissenschaft, Gesellschaft und Wirtschaft werden enger zusammengebracht. Dies sorgt für eine enge Verzahnung von Wissenschaftlern mit starken Partnern in Wirtschaft und Industrie im Bereich „smart und regenerativ“ – den Zukunftsfeldern der WFG.

We work for you with innovative and future-oriented methods. Future themes featuring high-level speakers with extensive practical experience are a regular part of our meetings. For August 2022, we are planning the Smart Destination conference in Kreis Viersen. We want to answer central questions about the future of companies in Kreis Viersen and lay the foundation for working on a smart future together.
